Tips that actually move your speed

Anchor on F and J

Find the raised bumps by touch and return there after every word. If you lose the anchor, reset your hands rather than guessing.

Do not look down

Use the on-screen keyboard when you are unsure of a key. Glancing at your hands is the habit that caps most people around 40 WPM.

Slow down to speed up

If accuracy drops below 95%, type slower on purpose. Errors cost more time to fix than they save, and repetition trains them in.

Keep sessions short

Fifteen to twenty focused minutes a day beats a long weekly session. Motor skills consolidate between practices, not during them.
